Mr. Rykels has experience as a Registered Patent Attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has experience working with large organizations, start-ups, and entrepreneurs to develop and execute patent and trademark strategies including identification of potentially protectible inventions, trademark identification, prosecution, appeals, pre-litigation investigations, post-grant proceedings, and preparing patent portfolios for enforcement and sale.

Matt has experience working with a variety of different technologies, including connected car, vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to everything (V2X) communication, bicycles and bicycle components, vehicle monitoring systems, electrochemical time and temperature sensors, laser scanning and ablation devices, luggage and carts, sports and recreation devices, tools and tool holders, earphone docking and control systems, games, electronic docking systems for smart devices, smart wearable devices, and medical devices.
